My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Schmidt for years and we have always been satisfied with him. He has a wonderful personal and humane side, even if you sometimes have to wait a long time at the practice, despite having an appointment. But that shows how many people come to him... Hello, after a long conversation with Dr. Schmidt, we were able to clear up the initial misunderstanding. I found Dr. Schmidt to be very competent and patient-oriented. He took his time with me and was able to help me a great deal. I will gladly come back and am happy to have found such a good doctor in Niebüll. Which, in these times of doctors closing down, is no longer a given.

I've been a patient there since October 2023, after six years of almost nothing but trouble, incompetence, and rudeness with my old practice and its medical assistants, and a total of two and a half years spent searching for a new family doctor—a nearly impossible undertaking if you're not a recent arrival. So now I'm at D&S, and this practice is more than meets the eye, as things are—like so many practices these days—in a state of flux, if you can call it that. This means that, apart from the established doctors, there are often different (attending) doctors, but every single one of them is always trying their best (which is definitely NOT meant negatively!). So far, I've primarily seen Dr. Hohensee, and I can only advise the practice to keep this doctor with her attentive, calm, and friendly nature; unless absolutely necessary, I won't be switching! The medical assistants at the reception desk are also all fantastic; After switching doctors, I initially couldn't believe that friendly staff still exist in medical practices. And all this despite the fact that I often have "buts" when scheduling appointments (shift work, a small child, etc.), which sometimes involve long waits. Again, this isn't a criticism of the practice itself, because waiting times are practically nonexistent at almost every doctor's office these days. At D&S (Hohensee), however, they take their time for the patients, and if I know that the people before and after me will receive the same patient and attentive treatment as I will, then I'm happy to wait – after all, they're doing it for me. There are simply too many patients and too few medical staff in this country, and anything one could possibly criticize about the practice is a more general problem with the German healthcare system and is largely politically motivated. So, complain to the appropriate authorities and don't just keep complaining to the staff here. I read a review here about the telephone waiting list and would like to add my

Dr. Schmidt is a blessing in these hectic times: calm, a listener, and a wealth of experience. My husband and I are delighted; we feel we received wonderful, professional care overall. Our initial consultation was more thorough than we've ever experienced before. Blood, urine, stool, ultrasound, EKG, including a referral for an X-ray for my hip. We can't understand the negative reviews at all. Thank you, Dr. Schmidt, and please stay with us for a long time.
